Kyabram Little Athletics had 21 representatives compete at Shepparton on the weekend of February 10 and 11 against other athletes in the Northern Country Region.
Young athletes from the centre won 17 medals — four gold, five silver and eight bronze — and achieved 53 personal bests. Alex Barnes also broke the NCR record in the under-16 boys’ walk by 33 seconds.
Ten athletes qualified for the state championships: Catriona Baldwin, Alex Barnes, Keplar Cleveland, Levi Cleveland, Tarkyn Cleveland, Ava Giles, Mia Kilpatrick, Maddison Old, Marley Vernon and Zac Wakenshaw.
