Kyabram District League announced record gate entries during its 2024 finals series at all venues bar one.

The crowd numbers were the cream on top of what the league said was a successful cake (season) as it held its annual general meeting on December 11.

At the meeting, league president Peter Cordy was re-elected for a second year running as he announced the league had achieved a small profit in 2024.

There have been three changes to the league’s executive team, with long-standing members Fraser Kerrins and Jo Backway departing and Kymberleigh Rowland joining.

Cordy thanked Kerrins and Backway for their considerable contribution to Kyabram District League during their time as part of the executive team.

“I’d like to thank both Fraser and Jo for their contributions over the years of their involvement to the KDL executive and member clubs,” Cordy said.

“Both have made significant contributions to the development of our league.

“I am looking forward to working with the new executive as we look to commence work on a strategic plan for the league that will become the road map for the league and strengthen its future.

“I look forward to working with the executive committee, our affiliated clubs and other stakeholders, as we look towards season 2025 and beyond.

“We thank all of our 2024 partners including our naming rights sponsor The Apprenticeship Factory, Fernwood Fitness Shepparton, ONE FM 98.5, Edge Print, Knights Homemakers, Uptown 3631, GV Hotel, Winning Edge and Purdey’s Jewellers.”

Murchison-Toolamba won this year’s senior football premiership, while Girgarre secured the A-grade netball flag.

The 2025 fixture is yet to be released.
