The 2024 club champions at the Seymour Bowls Club have been crowned.

On Saturday, September 14, six women and 17 men braved blustery conditions to compete in the annual event which saw Marie Maggs take out the women’s title and Robert Baldwin the men’s.

Maggs defeated Donna Syms 13-5 in the ladies final, while Baldwin held his nerves in a nail-biter to win 13-11 against Dennis Klein.

The events are named after two Seymour Bowls Club legends, Dot Carrol and Australian representative Jack Sloan, who won 10 and 14 club titles respectively.

Seymour Bowls Club thanks Alison Ridley, fellow organisers, bar staff and the ground keepers for running the events.
