Here’s the Goulburn Murray Cricket A-grade team of the week for Round 4.
Asantha Singappuli (Echuca South)
Walloped 94 not out for the highest score of the round. Follows up scores of 37, 42 and a season-best of 4-22 with the ball.
Charlie Hinks (Echuca)
Smashed 74 off 54 deliveries before proceeding to take 3-21. A true all-rounders performance as Echuca put Nondies-Cohuna to the sword.
Fraser Buchanan (Moama)
A measured 75-run innings from the Moama opener laid the platform for a score of 205.
Tyler Jones (Leitchville-Gunbower)
After back-to-back ducks to start the year, Leitchville-Gunbower’s power hitter is starting to find the runs. The L-G talisman belted 65 off 55 deliveries in a 101-run opening partnership with Austin Windridge against Cooma.
Regis Chakabva (BLU)
Contributed a valuable 68 runs to get the Lions off to a strong start in its chase against Moama.
Kaine Herbert (Kyabram Fire Brigade)
Has unsurprisingly been a stellar addition since making the move from Cricket Shepparton. Smacked 42 off 32 deliveries after claiming 2-9 off seven overs to go with two catches.
Rathika Rajakumara (Echuca South)
Played a key role in the Swans run chase with 56 not out after claiming 2-32.
Matt Darvill (Cooma)
Came in at 3-53 and top-scored with 52 for Cooma. Highest score of the season at the right time.
Cooper Fawcett (Cooma)
Solid contribution in Cooma’s win over L-G with 37 and 2-21 off nine overs.
Liam Scopelliti (Cooma)
Tidy areas from Scopelliti in his sides victory over Leitchville-Gunbower. Claimed 4-16 off his nine overs including the wickets of the dangerous Tyler Jones and Austin Windridge.
Jack Donnell (Kyabram Fire Brigade)
The Flames first five-wicket haul of the season with Donnell claiming 5-24, leading the way for Kyabram to dismiss Tongala for 100.
