A new men’s basketball competition is set to start up in Seymour.

To be contested throughout the summer, the competition will run on Monday nights at the Seymour Basketball Association courts on Pollard St, with games at 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

At this point, eight teams will be entered, and those looking to secure a spot are urged to email seymourmensbasketball@outlook.com

The competition is the brainchild of Seymour resident Mick Thrashington, who wants to use it to promote awareness of men’s health within the Goulburn Valley community.

The announcement and a new social netball league starting at Kings Park means Seymour residents looking to take part in community sports are spoiled for choice.
