Echuca United faces second-placed Rumbalara in the penultimate home-and-away game of the season.
The Eagles will be hoping for a round 17 boil-over and subsequently their fourth win of the season after pushing Murray Netball League finalists Mulwala to the limit in a one-goal defeat last week.
Rumbalara boasts a 14-2 win-loss for the year, with its only two defeats coming against the unbeaten Deniliquin Rams.
“Rumba’s always a challenge, especially so late in the season,” Eagles’ coach Jess Saunders said.
“They’re a good chance come finals, so we’re just trying to build on the great game we had last week and try to finish the season on a positive note.”
Saunders said the Eagles would have a full-strength roster for the clash, and paid tribute to her starters after a positive stretch of netball.
“Our main seven girls have been really strong over the last few weeks, so hopefully we can come out again firing,” Saunders said.
United faces Barooga next week in its final game of the season.
Out at Tongala Reserve, the Blues are aiming to snap a mild hump of back-to-back defeats in a match-up against Cobram.
On paper, the Blues would be tipped to snare their 11th win of the season as they prepare for finals against 10th-placed Tigers, but the visitors will come in with some momentum after claiming back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Across the league, Deniliquin faces Numurkah in a battle of first versus last, Moama and Nathalia clash in what is poised to be a titanic battle, and Mulwala (6th) faces Finley (7th) in an effort to officially secure its finals status.
