Defending champion Moama continues to hold firm near the top in the Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Bowls Region Premier League.
The side’s round five fixture on Saturday saw the Steamers dominate Bendigo, handing the ladder-leader its first loss of the season, 18-105 to 0-60.
Moama cleaned out all four rinks by at least six shots each in a brilliant team performance.
Kevin Anderson skipped the largest rink win for Moama, leading his squad of Brock Keenan (lead), Kevin Brennan (second) and David Keenan (third) to a 32-10 victory over Bendigo skip Gary Downie.
Matt Robertson also earned a double-digit win, 32-22, while remaining skips Alex Marshall and Cameron Keenan also picked up points for Moama.
The result rebounds the Steamers from a setback in round four, where they went down by three shots to Marong 16-78 to 2-75.
There are plenty of teams looking like contenders a third of the way through the season, Bendigo (4-1) one game ahead of four 3-2 sides, including Moama.
The Steamers are in second place courtesy of an impressive +96 shot differential.
Moama will next visit Eaglehawk Bowling Club on Saturday for round six action.
