Mooroopna has shocked the under-17 Goulburn Valley Hockey Association landscape for its second triumph of the season.
With one win to its name before the clash against a 5-4 Goulburn Valley Grammar, Mooroopna came away an 11-6 victor with Abigail Vaivars and Xavier Simm linking up for 10 goals.
Joel Hammill was a force for Grammar, slotting five on his lonesome.
Points were handed to SYC after Strikers forfeited in the grade’s other match, while A-grade had the bye.
In B-grade men, SYC beat Mooroopna 3-1, while Strikers claimed a 2-1 win and, in the women’s, Strikers toppled Benalla 5-4, while SYC and Euroa played out a goalless draw.
