The venues for the first week of the Goulburn Valley League finals have been announced.

Festivities begin at Benalla Showgrounds on Saturday before Mooroopna Recreation Reserves utilises its lights on Saturday evening.

Rochester’s Moon Oval will host Sunday’s slate of football and netball matches.

Once again, each venue will host a mixture of elimination and qualifying finals to help accommodate participating clubs.

The senior football qualifying final clash between Echuca and Seymour is scheduled for Benalla, while the A-grade elimination between Echuca and Shepparton will take place at the same venue.

Kyabram will meet Mansfield in the first elimination final at Mooroopna in a twilight fixture scheduled for 5.30pm.

Over on the netball courts, Euroa will take on Mooroopna in the A-grade qualifying final at 6pm.

On Sunday, Moon Oval will host Euroa and Mooroopna’s elimination final.

Lastly, Tatura’s first A-grade final in 17 years will take place against reigning premier Seymour in the final elimination final.

Each A-grade and senior football match will be livestreamed on Clutch.

“We now look towards what is going to be an exciting finals series and are pleased to advise the fixture for week one,” GVL board chair Jacqui Hudgson said.

“Saturday we head to Benalla during the day and Mooroopna that afternoon for twilight matches. On Sunday we head to Rochester, who were announced during the week as the Toyota AFL National Club of the Year.

“We are certain to see some nail biting games across netball and football during our elimination and qualifying finals. These clubs have worked hard to get to this point and we look forward to seeing them in action.”
