Highly-rated Echuca talent Grace Moyle showcased the full range of her batting ability with a blistering 66-ball century for Victoria Country at the under-16 National Championships.

Moyle plundered Tasmania’s bowling attack in a blistering display at Chisholm District Playing Field in Canberra on Monday, pummelling half a dozen sixes and seven fours on her way to a maiden championship century.

Remarkably, Moyle arrived at the crease in the 33rd over batting at number seven, and together with teammate Charli McLennan’s 104 not-out, managed to propel Country to a monstrous score of 4-411 in the one-day clash.

It was a tight race to the ton, with a single on the final delivery of the innings allowing Moyle to raise the bat and cap off an eye-catching performance on the national stage.

Tasmania could only muster 99 all-out in reply, putting Victoria Country in the box seat to qualify for the semi-finals.

Victory over NSW Metro on Wednesday will seal a place in the final four.

Moyle’s ton comes after being selected for representative honours in November 2022 on the back of strong form in club and premier cricket.

Moyle has chalked up three half-centuries for Carlton’s Second XI with a high score of 69 runs and has made four appearances for the First XI outfit during the 2022-23 season.

For Echuca, Moyle has two half-centuries in the under-16 competition and D-grade.

Moyle shot into calculations for higher representative honours at the 2022 Northern Rivers Junior Country Week carnival for Goulburn Murray Cricket and Youth Premier League campaign for Northern Rivers, smashing centuries at both competitions.
