Nagambie locks in new netball coaches for 2024 Kyabram District League season

Lake show: Fiona Merrifield, Kristy Gleeson and Tasman Taylor-Lloyd will make up the Nagambie senior netball coaching panel in 2024.

Nagambie Football Netball Club has confirmed there will be a new face taking on the top netball role in 2024.

The Lakers have announced Kristy Gleeson as the A-grade netball coach for the upcoming season.

Gleeson comes to the Lakers after many years of playing and coaching experience at Shepparton Swans.

The club is excited about its senior group of players having a fresh face leading the girls to what is hopefully another successful season.

Nagambie has also announced that one of the club’s most dedicated netballers will be taking on the role of B-grade coach.

Tasman Taylor-Lloyd has been a vital member of the Lakers for many years, starting in the club’s junior side.

Taylor-Lloyd has worked her way up through Nagambie’s senior grades and became a premiership captain of the 2023 B-grade side.

Taylor-Lloyd has shown wonderful leadership qualities on the court as a player and the club looks forward to watching her grow further in her coaching role.

The Lakers’ C-grade coach is Fiona Merrifield.

Merrifield has been a part of the Lakers for many years and, most recently, coached the under-13s into their first grand final.

She also has many years of experience as the team manager for the senior grades.

The club looks forward to having Merrifield coach the C-grade netballers and guide them to further their netball skills.
