Coming off a close win last week, the seniors were keen for another win against the top-of-the-table Bright.
The game was close early with both sides hitting the scoreboard in the first quarter.
Reliable defender Perry Knox was kept busy in defence and did well to spoil the incoming footy.
Sam Gladstone had a great game in the backline cutting off plenty of Bright’s inside 50s and leaving his man well to help crash plenty of contests and clear the footy out of the defensive half.
Hard-nut Tom Ryan battled hard through the midfield doing his best to win the contested footy.
As well as in the seconds Brights slick ball movement was hard to match as they ran away with the lead at half-time.
Nathan Hill’s pace and penetrating kick were on display as he played one of his best games in the green and gold.
Campbell McCoy battled hard through the centre of the ground once again.
His used his pace and clean skills to the best of his ability to try and push the Bats forward to score.
Jamie Dunne continued his great run of form and was busy all over the ground.
His ability to be involved in the contested footy as well as the outside run was very beneficial for the Bats.
This gave him the honours for best on ground for the Bats and his run of good form is sure to show during the best-and-fairest count at the conclusion of the season.
Unfortunately, Bright was too good and know how to play its home ground extremely well, coming out a comfortable winner.
Next week the Bats are excited to be back home at the Batcave hosting Tarrawingee, which should be a great day of footy.

The reserves headed up to Bright on a beautiful winter’s day to battle against a very handy Bright side.
Unfortunately, because of injury and illness, the Bats were up against it and in for a tough day.
A reliable stalwart for the twos Brenton Doig was in for a big day at full-back.
He battled hard all day, spoiling the footy well and doing his best to clear the ball from defensive 50.
Bright kicked away early, putting on a seven-goal-to-one first term.
However, the Bats steadied the flow in the second only allowing Bright three further goals until the main break.
Dallas Spencer had his best game for the year and did his best to scoop up the loose ball in defence and feed it to the outside runners.
Shane Richardson played well with plenty of overhead marks all over the ground.
His experience and good ball use allowed the Bats to move the ball from defence to the forward well.
Tim Colville had another great game through the midfield.
His hard running and second efforts gathered him plenty of the Sherrin.
Clinton Relf had his best game for the year playing a sweeping role across the centre half back gathering plenty of possessions.
His constant talk around the footy kept the boys up and about and positive.
Clinton’s efforts gave him man of the match for Goorambat as he played an exceptional game.
Unfortunately, Bright was just too good. Their slick ball movement proved too silky for the Bats to keep up with and they ran out comfortable winners.
The twos hope to bounce back next week with the return of some key players.
