Strathmerton has been the benchmark team for some time now and it will be right up there again this season.

The Bulldogs have had minimal changes to previous years and co-coach Tim Bramich said his side was ready to go.

“We think we’ve been going pretty well the last two years, so we don’t really want to change too much,” Bramich said.

“We haven’t really lost too many and have added a couple of extras and the blokes we've added buy in to the way we want to play footy.”

These extras include Jessie Finnen, Jake Ellery and Darcy Robinson, with Finnen coming off a season at Shepparton Swans.

Ellery and Robinson are two signings sure to make an impact, with the duo coming from Mathoura.

Ellery is fresh off a cracking season for the Timbercutters, winning their best-and-fairest, while former Mathoura coach Robinson will be free from juggling coaching commitments with pulling on a playing shirt.

“We’re probably pretty boring to be honest, we think what we’ve had the past couple of years has been good enough, so we’re not going to be too dissimilar,” he said.

Strathmerton is set for another big season and will be hard to beat this year.
