Peter Murphy Cup this Saturday

The stage will be set for another thrilling encounter this Friday as CDHBU and Rennie face off in a highly anticipated game for the prestigious Peter Murphy Cup. CDHBU retained the cup last year. Pictured after the game last year was Rennie’s Matt Stephens with Corowa Wahgunyah Good Friday Appeal area manager Karie Playford and CDHBU president Chris Scott.

This Saturday, March 16 sees CDHBU have their first practice match when they take on the Rennie for the annual Peter Murphy Cup in one game of footy and two games of netball with the Power currently holding the cup.

All proceeds for the day will be donated to the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday appeal.

Unfortunately, the U/14s game has been cancelled. Check with the club for starting times Saturday morning most likely at 10am.

There will also be a quick clean up at the Corowa Memorial Hall early Saturday morning after the Friday night Deb Ball before we head to Rennie.

The following Saturday morning, March 23, the Power U/14s and U/17s will play Rutherglen Cats at Rutherglen while the Senior/Reserves squad head to Tarrawingee to tackle Tallangatta League club Yackandandah, also Saturday morning.
