Rams clean up at Murray League presentations

Rhiannan Maxwell was the A-grade Best & Fairest runner-up and league MVP.

While only two Deni Rams sides will be playing off for grand finals this weekend, many others have made their mark on the competition this year.

A number of individuals from the club were honoured on Sunday at the Murray League senior presentations.

The Murray League invited some of its brightest stars across the home and away season.

The Rams had plenty of representation on the night and were even able to walk away with some silverware.

Invited from the Rams to attend the senior presentation night were Bonnie Everett, Jake Hobbs, Rhiannan Maxwell, Ben East, Alana Tyndall, Ben Nisbet and Leah Blake.

Of those seven invited players, four came home with an award.

A special award was also presented to Deni’s Faye Park, who was awarded the Administrator of The Year award for her work as the executive football director.

The major award winner for the Rams on the night was A-grade superstar Rhiannan Maxwell.

She placed second in the league’s Best & Fairest, but was the league’s netball Most Valuable Player.

Leah Blake was runner-up Best & Fairest for B-grade.

Ben East also took out second place in the reserves' football Best & Fairest.

Fellow reserves player Ben Nisbet was named the leading goal kicker for the 2024 season, kicking a cool 58 majors for the year.

The two Bens will be hoping to carry their form over from the home and away season as they prepare for the Murray League’s reserves grand final this weekend.
