The Deniliquin Rams senior outfit will take on Numurkah at home, in what will be another high stakes game as the side reach the pointy end of the regular season.

The Rams, who currently sit in sixth position, will be looking to make up for their disappointing two -point loss against eighth place Numurkah in round 7.

Coach Ash Morris said the side is looking really promising for tomorrow’s game.

“We get some of our key position players back this weekend, so we certainly won't be using personnel as an excuse if we deliver a poor performance,” said Morris.

Coming back into the side from injury will be key big men Angus Durnan, Bryce Scoullar and Angus Mckay, and star midfielder Jake Dick-O'Flaherty who will also return from soreness.

Young gun Charlie Hillier will be out for the game, as he represents NSW in a state team.

“We had our poorest performance of the year last time we played Numurkah, so we have plenty of players wanting to respond,” said Morris.

“They have some dangerous midfielders and intercepting defenders, so we'll need to play a smart brand of football to ensure their strengths don't come to the floor.”

Morris said the focus heading into the game will be all about footy smarts.

“If we're able to win the contest and use our footy IQ going forward, we should put ourselves in a great position to win the game.”

With the Murray Football Netball League heading into its second last round of the season, everyone is encouraged to head down to Hardinge St Oval tomorrow to support the side.

Play will start a little later than normal due to the Ladies Day activities, and will be ball up at 2.30pm.
