After a superb NAB AFL National Championships, Tongala football talent Harley Reid added a place in the All-Australian side to his growing list of accolades.

The Victoria Country superstar was a dominant force at representative level in 2022 and his strong form saw him named on a half-back flank.

Reid’s strength and strong aerial ability was a highlight across the tournament, but a star turn down forward with two goals in the thrilling NAB AFL National Championship grand final for Victoria Country against Victoria Metro nearly saw his team over the line.

That match was just another example of his multi-faceted skillset, and from his four championship games, Reid averaged 20 disposals at an efficient rate of 83 per cent, catapulting himself into the football limelight in the process.

This comes after the St Joseph’s College student earned the prestigious Jack Collins-Alan Schwab AFL Life Members Scholarship.

At NAB League level, his strong championships form was mirrored in his 12 games for the Bendigo Pioneers this season.

Reid found himself named in the best players on nine occasions, before National Championship duties took him away.

Reid still has one season remaining with the Pioneers, and he is widely tipped to be a top-10 pick in the 2023 draft.

Reid was previously a winner of the Pioneers rising star award.
