Cricket season is around the corner, and now is the time to get juniors registered.

The Deni Rhinos will host a junior cricket registration day this Friday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at the Memorial Park cricket grounds.

It’s also your first chance to look through the soon to be finished clubrooms.

The club welcomes players of all skill levels to participate in the local and MVCA cricket competitions.

Players must be aged eight to 17, as of August 31, 2024.

Depending on interest, the club hopes to form under-17s, under-15s and under-13s teams in the MVCA, as well as an under-13s Deniliquin district competition.

The club will also offer Rhinos Blast for those aged five to 10.

The under-17s and under-15s will play 40 over, two-day games in the MVCA on Thursday/Friday nights and Saturday mornings respectively.

Numbers may mean teams join nearby towns to allow players to participate in the age group.

The under-13s in the MVCA also play Thursday or Friday evenings or nights and train Thursday Afternoons.

Rhinos Blast will be at Memorial Park on Fridays from 4pm to 4.50pm, starting October 18 and running until December 6.

The youngsters will participate in modified games, with all equipment provided. A Cricket Australia Blast Pack is included with registration.

The registration day is a chance to speak with the club about the programs, and to order uniforms for the season.
