A huge improvement from round 1. The girls played hard and contested every ball. The defenders made the goalers work for every goal. Great teamwork. Important to note that Ashton did not fall over.

C GRADE
C Grade smashed the score again, keeping the opposition below 10 goals in the second half of the game. Considering Mitta are 5th on the ladder makes this even more of an achievement for the girls. Words can’t describe how proud coaches are to see the girls improve each week and utilise skills from training on game day.

Girls faced an uphill battle against a very classy, well-oiled opposition in Mitta. Defence was kept very busy with Mitta pulling away by over 20 goals in the first quarter. Maiya continues to impress with massive improvements in confidence every week. The ever reliable mid court in Faith and Lucy pushed hard for all four quarters. Tilly produced some brilliant turnovers and Steph’s first goal for the season resulted in massive celebration.

Under 13s
A cold misty morning made for really slow start to the game this week taking everyone a couple of quarters to warm up. Kaity, the only Ford left standing this week, came out strong again dominating in the goals and mid court. Tayla and Harriet strong in the mid court producing some specky turnovers feeding into the goal circle. Izzy and Acacia again proving solid in defence standing tall against a strong offensive for all four quarters. Girls put up in a solid effort however Mitta managed to run away in the last quarter.
