Below are some of the highlights from Saturday’s action you may have missed.

Singh delights with century

The individual highlight reels at Old Students continued on Saturday with C-grade talent Manindergit Singh bringing up a magnificent century.

Singh blasted 106 runs from 96 deliveries in what was a man-of-match effort in Old Students’ mammoth 203-run win over Euroa.

It was the second ton of his career, with the first coming against the same opposition in B-grade last season.

Singh crunched 17 boundaries and three sixes as he made Kialla Park second oval his paradise for the afternoon.

Sean O’Brien came agonisingly short of a magical century and finished his impressive innings on 92.

Webber barbecues ’em

It is safe to say that Dayne Webber enjoyed arguably one of his finest days on a cricket field.

The Pine Lodge D-grade captain not only scored himself a memorable century, but he also managed to claim a remarkable 5-10 in his side’s win against an undermanned Shepparton United.

Webber won the toss and elected to bat first and the Lodgers were soon 2-19, but the number three bat showcased his skills with 13 boundaries and eight sixes.

Webber’s heroics lifted Pine Lodge to 8-287, a score that Shepparton United was unable to get anywhere near.

That’s because when Webber and teammate Daniel Freeman opened the bowling, the duo managed an extraordinary feat and trundled out the eight-player United for 22 runs.

Did you say 100? Roger Rogers

The triple figure scores continued in D-grade on Saturday — this time at Vibert Reserve.

Northerners opener Garrick Rogers registered a mesmerising 127-run knock in the Jets’ whopping 147-run win.

Rogers put the Karramomus bowlers to work and toyed with the opposition with his 12 boundaries and seven hits over the rope.

The century was the second of Rogers’ career on official record, with the first coming in 2002 when he made 102 for Karramomus.

Teammate Kyren Dawson batted beautifully for his unbeaten 89.

Zampaglione zaps Magpies

Mooroopna escaped Euroa’s Memorial Oval with a stunning four-run win on Saturday.

On paper it looks like one of the most bizarre and incredible wins, with Euroa suffering one of the most heart-breaking losses in B-grade.

Mooroopna batted first and piled on 159 runs, with Aaron Di Fede top-scoring with 33.

In reply, Euroa looked home and hosed to secure a win before the mid-season break.

The Magpies, thanks to a flashy 85 off 64 from Linc McKernan, were 4-153 in the 26th over and only needed a further seven runs to win.

Enter Damon Zampaglione.

The Mooroopna talent clinched a jaw-dropping 7-11 from six overs ― including five of the final six wickets ― to steer the away side to one of the most unbelievable wins of the Cricket Shepparton season.

Euroa lost a staggering six wickets for two runs in a contest that will live long in the memories of each player.
