The measure of how well a side is playing is sometimes not on the scoreboard but on the faces of the players.
On Saturday afternoon at Kings Park Seymour A-grade had smiles plastered on from start to finish as they took on Benalla in the Goulburn Valley League.
Seymour always had control of the game and Ellie Fuhrmeister’s team won the game 81 to 21.

“I think the last few weeks we were able to cement some of our connection,” said Fuhrmeister.
“We’re building confidence each week which is really nice and I think today we were just saying it’s a nice confidence boost going into playing some of the top sides.
“Today was great, we really executed our game plans.”
The Seymour attack looked to be up there with the best in the league on Saturday but the shooting prowess all stemmed from a Casey Adamson master-class in centre.
Benalla’s defence and midfield worked tirelessly but despite the spirited performance Seymour was a class above and moved the ball effortlessly.
Fuhrmeister was efficient in goal shooter and only missed on the odd occasion while her attacking partner Jessica Lallo was also fierce when shooting.
Benalla was forced to shoot from long distance when it got the ball into its attackers as Sarah Szczykulski and Ruby Trimble seemed impassable.
Natalie Pritchard was determined in centre for Benalla and was constantly involved in the Saints best periods of play.
In the middle of the third quarter Benalla looked to have found its groove but Seymour’s ability to draw in players and quickly switch across court to then drill a pass into its attackers proved to be an unstoppable formula.
An injury for Benalla’s goal defence, Olivia Dalton, in the final quarter meant coach Jodinne Toms came on for Benalla to see out Seymour’s 60-goal win.
Casey Adamson was once again best on and Fuhrmeister was impressed by her consistency.
“She’s just everywhere,” said Fuhrmeister.
“She’s doing such a good job two weeks in a row. Ella Tennant also had a really good game today and she provided a lot of drive for our attackers.”
Going into a clash with top-of-the-table Euroa nest week will be a test of the Lions’ strength but Fuhrmeister said that they had confidence and would be focusing on their own game.
Benalla will be looking to get back to winning ways at home when it comes up against an out-of-form Mansfield side on Saturday afternoon.
