The Shepparton District Tennis Association pennant race looks anything but certain after the first three weeks of competition.

Top-seeded Tim Comer has yet to drop a rubber through three weeks, with his first two triumphs in doubles helping McEwen Reserve establish a 3-0 lead that went unchallenged in an eventual 7-48 to 2-26 win over Shepparton North.

Elsewhere, Karramomus had two of the first three sets won away before a collapse down the stretch saw Central Park wrap up the tie with two in hand, eventually scraping through 5-44 to 4-39.

McEwen Reserve Green, Murchison Gold, Kialla Park-Old Students and St Brendan’s (by walkover) earned wins in A1-A2 play, with Green maintaining an unbeaten record.

Central Park moved to 3-0 with an A3 win over St Andrew’s, with Karramomus victorious over Shepparton North in the other fixture.
