The stock of Shepparton golf product Bailey Goodall just continues to rise.

One of the region’s most exciting young talents, the 16-year-old added a second Victorian Junior Country Championship title to his ever-growing trophy cabinet, claiming victory at the Bendigo and Neangar Park Golf Clubs over a tight two days of competition.

The only player to finish the weekend under par, Goodall finished three under (-3), four shots better than second placed Lachlan Snart who ended one over (+1).

Beginning at Bendigo Golf Club, a first round 71 had Goodall tied for the lead at the halfway point alongside Snart as the competition moved to Neangar Park for the second round.

As the tournament appeared set to go down to the wire, Goodall showed his class with a scintillating second round, shooting a weekend-low 69 to secure what ended up being a blowout four-stroke victory.

This performance served as the crescendo of what has been a standout 12 months for Goodall.

Since winning the 2021 Junior Country Championship (the youngest person to ever win the title), Goodall has won the Murray River Junior Masters tournament, School Sport Victoria Golf Championships, and a number of other amateur tournaments.

Goodall is also the youngest ever winner of the Shepparton Golf Club open championships, claiming the honour in 2021, before finishing runner-up to Luke Dixon at the 2022 championship in June.

Along with these accomplishments, Goodall has represented Australia on two occasions, at the World Junior Championships in San Diego and Las Vegas and in February competed on the professional stage in the TPS Murray River Tournament at Cobram Barooga Golf Club.
