Playoffs are up and running as the Goulburn Murray Bowls Region crowns its champions with some inter-divisional contests.
The midweek playoff was first on the menu, with Goulburn Valley Playing Area champion Shepparton Golf travelling for a date with the Murray Playing Area champion on its home greens at Cobram.
For all the success Golf encountered throughout the season it was undone in comprehensive fashion up north, beaten on all three rinks.
John Stokes’ quartet battled hard, falling by three shots, but the Cobram contingent proved far too good on the day, sweeping the contest to win 72-39.
Following the big win, Cobram advances to the midweek division of state playoff bowls.
