Six racers to battle for one title

Get into the excitement of the final round of the Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix on Anzac Day weekend.

The final round of this seasons Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix returns to Lake Mulwala on Anzac Day weekend with six competitors all in the mix for the 2024/25 title.

The EC Griffith Cup will crown the campaign winner, which treasurer Trent Duvall said is hard to pick.

“The door is open for six racers to win the championship in the final round,” Mr. Duvall said.

Round 3 gathered estimated crowds of 950 residents and tourists, scattered around the lake.

Victorian Ewan Bricker showcased elite driving, finishing second despite crashing in Race 2.

Qualifying and practice laps will commence from 3pm on Anzac Day with the final races over the weekend.

The Formula Futures Series will also compete across the weekend, with the Gilligan family hoping to continue their winning ways.

Ella, Scarlett and Tyler all earned first place podium finishes across under 16s, under 12s and developmental classes, last time they hit the the lake.

A fair will be held along the Yarrawonga foreshore for everyone to enjoy a nibble or beverage throughout the racing extravaganza, followed by live music from 4:30 to 6:30pm.

The final round will be televised on 7Mate.
