Racing returns to Alexandra Speedway on Saturday night with the modified sedan state series round the main event, attracting more than 25 entries.

Alexandra members Brody Chrystie, Matt Nelson and Damien Miller are among the entries and the host club member drivers are keen for a front-of-the-pack showing on the track they grew up racing on.

All three drivers have been members at Alexandra for more than 15 years.

Also on the schedule are all the best local and visiting sports sedans, with Josh Service hot off a victory in Wangaratta on Saturday night.

He will be up against 20 competitors keen to get one over him, including Brendan Miller and former Victorian champion Lee Beach, while current state champion Damien Miller is entering his car with a replacement driver so he can concentrate on modified sedan racing.

Street stocks, Victorian Speedway Council junior open sedans and junior 1200 sedans, plus the Speedway Sedans Australia junior top stars and new stars, will all compete.

Racing begins from 4pm on Gordon St in Alexandra, with a planned 10.30pm finish. For information, text 0438 700 124 up until 9.30pm prior to race day. The number will be available for calls on race day.

Entry is $75 for a family of two adults and three kids aged 10 to 16. An adult ticket is $30, while tickets for aged and invalid pensioners and children aged 10 to 16 are $15. Children under 10 will be admitted free.
