Strikers stood true to their name on Saturday as they slotted six goals past Shepparton Youth Club in a first versus second A-grade men’s Goulburn Valley Hockey Association match.
Andrés Pérez San Emeterio did the bulk of the damage for Strikers, his hat-trick the best effort during the 6-2 victory at Shepparton Regional Hockey Complex.
SYC weapon Matthew Irwin earned three votes as he slotted a brace in the derby, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Strikers going atop the ladder with one round left to play.
