The United States of America.

Known across the world for its food, flag, entertainment and at Kyabram — its rapid right-arm national team bowler.

A key player in the Hurley’s Hotel Hounds’ run to the Goulburn Valley Bush Bash League grand final, Cameron Stevenson has enjoyed a successful season in blue and black to date.

“I’m stoked to get through to the final, that’s what you play for — to play in grand finals,” Stevenson said.

“Throughout the last three games everyone has shown a little bit and we thoroughly deserve to be playing on February 19.”

Previously running out for Melbourne Renegades and having gained first class experience with Tasmania, Stevenson has played 18 one-day internationals and four T20 internationals for the US national team.

Leaving plenty of batters shaking with his pace across the GVBBL campaign, the 30-year-old talent took 1-30 off four overs in round one, 1-13 off four overs in round two and 2-26 off three overs against SRP Mud Dogs on Sunday.

“They (the Mud Dogs) are obviously a strong side and they know how to win grand finals, so it’s good to have them out of the way and we now turn out attention to the Crushers in the final,” Stevenson said.

“I feel I’ve contributed, I’ve chipped in with a couple of wickets and I’ve really enjoyed it.

“It’s a really good group of guys and they make it really easy to fit in and get amongst it.

“Hopefully I can go and get a few wickets and a few runs in the final.”
