A number of Tocumwal Bloods junior cricketers have been named in the NSW and Victorian sides to contest the Southern Riverina Cricket Council’s Owen & Bradley Shield.

With games in the under-15s and under-13s, the tournament will be played in Deniliquin this Sunday.

The shield is played among talented juniors whose cricket club is in the Southern Riverina Cricket Association, and this year the sides have been split into a state vs state scenario.

Tocumwal has always had a strong cricketing history and reputation, with juniors from the area often involved in representative sides, showcasing their skills.

That history and reputation has not faded.

In the under-15s, Archie Chellew and James White will be representing Tocumwal in the NSW side.

They will go up against some of the area’s best cricketing talent.

In the under-13s sides, Tocumwal players Ollie East, Lucas Grieves and Sam White have all been selected for the Victorian team.

Tom White is in the under-16s squad for the Warren Smith Cup tournament.

They will go up against one of their club mates, with Max White selected for the NSW team.

Southern Riverina Steers’ under-13s and under-15s teams for the Three Rivers Cup in January against Murrumbidgee Cricket Council teams will be selected from these games.

Tocumwal players have also been listed in the under-16s Warren Smith Cup and under-12s Derek Rogers Cup sides.

In the under-16s, Tom White and Liam Sutton have been selected, and in the under-12s Ollie East, Max White and Sam White will pull on the pads for the Southern Riverina Cricket Council.

The tournament date and location are yet to be announced.

Ollie East has been selected for Victoria’s under-13s side.
