Goulburn Valley League officials were kept busy this week with four reports stemming from last weekend’s round eight matches.
Seymour’s Ben Clifton will miss the next three matches after a failed attempt at the tribunal.
Clifton was reported for charging an opponent — Shepparton playing coach Ted Lindon — in his side’s win over the Bears at Kings Park.
Clifton was reported by three umpires following the incident.
The former Seymour co-coach was offered a set penalty of two weeks which was declined.
The matter was heard at the tribunal during the week and Clifton was found guilty and suspended for three matches.
During Sunday’s fixtures, Tatura defender Curtis Ryan was reported for carelessly striking another player in his side’s loss to Shepparton Swans.
Ryan accepted a set penalty of one match.
Shepparton United’s Charlie Di Stefano will miss the upcopming clash against Tatura after he was reported last weekend in the loss to Kyabram.
Di Stefano was reported for intentionally striking another player and accepted a two-match set penalty.
Meanwhile, Mooroopna’s Kane Boyer is set to miss the next two matches.
In last weekend’s reserves football clash at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve, Boyer was reported for engaging in rough conduct against an opponent in the loss to Mansfield.
Boyer accepted a set penalty of two matches.
Elsewhere in the Kyabram District League, Girgarre’s Brock Peirce accepted a one-week set penalty for carelessly striking another player in his side’s loss to Stanhope.
Lastly, the GVL match review panel reported runner Jake Kyle in the lead-up to last week’s round eight matches.
Kyle was reported for engaging in any other act of misconduct or serious misconduct and was found guilty during the Mooroopna and Benalla contest.
Kyle received a three-match suspension, with another three matches suspended until the end of 2022.
