It has been a busy start to the season for tribunal and investigation action across the region's football and netball leagues.

Three sanctions arose from Goulburn Valley League and Kyabram District League matches on Saturday, April 9.

In the round one senior match between Shepparton Swans and Shepparton United at Princess Park, Swans player Ben Gilberto was reported for carelessly striking another person.

Gilberto accepted a one-week set penalty and missed last weekend’s clash against Mooroopna.

Earlier that day at Deakin Reserve, Shepparton’s Rowan Hiscock was reported for making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the face of another player during the loss to Mooroopna.

He accepted a one-week set penalty and missed last week’s win over Shepparton United.

Hiscock will be available for selection for round three against the Swans.

Elsewhere, an incident from the KDL seniors match between Longwood and Undera resulted in a suspension for one Undera footballer.

The Lions’ Daniel Brock was reported for carelessly striking another person during the April 9 contest and accepted a one-week set penalty.

Meanwhile, Tatura will be without Nathan Rennie this weekend.

The footballer was reported for carelessly striking another person during the reserves match between Benalla and Tatura on Good Friday, April 15.

Lastly, the GVL match review panel will head to the tribunal on Friday, April 22.

The tribunal hearing stems from an incident during the senior match between Mansfield and Seymour in round two.
