Young stars get back on court

Junior tennis numbers are up, and the club continues to offer opportunities for young ones to have a hit despite some discouraging weather recently.

It is great to see so many kids down on the wonderful lawn and synthetic courts we have in Charlotte St.

The facilities are looking amazing and the amount of children and parents there on a Saturday morning is great to see.

The red ball kids are having so much fun and the parent coaches are doing an amazing job.

They thoroughly enjoy the drills and also enjoy the Zooper Dooper awards.

In the orange and green groups we are seeing great improvement in skills and ability so we hope this continues as the year progresses and into next year.

Section 1 had some close results, with Wyoming just sneaking away with the win from Nutrien Ag by 1 set.

Congratulations to Rocky Sztejman and Jack Steenholdt winning all three sets.

Rocky has had a fantastic year, not losing a set as first year as number one for his team but unfortunately missing quite a few weeks when over in Spain for the soccer academy.

The other match saw CWS comfortably beating JC Earthworks 11 sets to five with Henry Pisasale, Henry Campion and Georgie Barnes all winning three sets.

This sets up a huge grand final against CWS and JC Earthworks, who will be at full strength tomorrow, so look forward to a close contest.
