Nobody loves the Echuca-Moama area more than Carly and Aaron, who decided to have their wedding at Tindarra Resort on the banks of the mighty Murray River.
The couple met back in 2011 through mutual friends — Carly was at her sister’s house and he happened to be there and the rest is history.
“We are obsessed with the Echuca-Moama area,” Carly said.
“We have a holiday cabin there, so we couldn’t picture having ourselves getting married anywhere else.”
Carly said Tindarra Resort was an “absolutely incredible and beautiful venue”.
“The fact that we had our special day right on the river, with friends and family, made it the best day of our lives,” she said.
“Eventually we will move up there (to Echuca-Moama), that is how much we love the area.
“My little one has grown up going there, so it all just fit in perfectly as our ideal wedding.”
The groomsmen and Aaron rocked up to the wedding in style via boat.
They own the boat they used on the day, that gets plenty of use during their holidays, wakeboarding and skiing on the Murray River.
“If it was up to Aaron, he probably would’ve wake-boarded to the wedding,” Carly said.
“The happy medium was that he could rock up to the wedding in the boat.”
Carly said the Murray River and water sports were such a large part of their lives that they wanted to include it somehow in their wedding.
“We had to include it somehow since it is such a big part of our lives and we wanted to show that to our family.
“We looked at Tindarra a few years ago — I had a vision that our special day would be on the banks on the Murray.”
Carly said she had the vision of what she wanted for her wedding day and that Modern Love Style Co was able to bring it to fruition.
“I already had that idea in my head, it wasn’t much of a stress as I thought it would be because I engaged Modern Love for the styling and everything for me.
“It was really a matter of getting my vision across to them and they took it from there.”
