Gunbower Racing Club will host its Moama Bowling Club Gunbower Gold Cup on Saturday, October 5.

Whether you are looking for country casual or a catered experience, there are packages to suit everybody.
These include all inclusive or regular marquee and umbrella packages as well as general admission.
There are also opportunities to attend the Big Green Shed Luncheon — a two-course lunch served by Two Tarts Catering in Gunbower Racing Club’s Big Green Shed featuring artwork by local artists. Lunch will be served from noon to 2pm.
The cup has not been run and won since 2019 with COVID shutting down the race in 2020 and 2019 and spouts of bad weather cancelling the event in 2022 and 2023.
Gunbower is about 3.5 hours from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station via V/Line services.
Buses will also run on Gunbower Cup Day from Echuca with pick-ups from Shamrock Hotel, Border Inn Hotel Moama, Caledonian Hotel, Echuca YMCA Pool and Tara’s Hall Hotel.
The bus is $10 one way. Pick-ups are also available from Torrumbarry Hotel.
“There is a tremendous group of people on the committee, who all volunteer their time and work together to ensure the cup meeting is a success,” GRC president Vicki McGillivray said.
“We get terrific support from the schools and service clubs, it is a race day which brings the community together.”
