North Korea has fired a ballistic missile off its east coast, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff say, following the firing of two short-range ballistic missiles a day earlier.
Thursday's launch came as US Vice President Kamala Harris visited South Korea to bolster the US ally and amid worries that the North is about to conduct a nuclear test – the seventh since 2006 and its first since 2017.
Harris and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol condemned North Korea over the earlier missile tests.
Harris and Yoon reaffirmed a shared goal of the complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, the White House said.
